Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Great Way LLC (“we”, “us”), 530-B Harkle Road, Ste 100, Santa Fe, NM 87505, collects when you use ThruMemory, how we use it and the choices you have.

What we collect

Your account: your email address. We sign you in with links sent to that address – there is no password.
Your song details: what you tell us in the questionnaire – the recipient’s name and how to pronounce it, your relationship, the occasion, memories, stories and messages, style and mood – plus lyric edits, change requests and the songs we deliver.
Purchases: the package, amount, promo code and Stripe payment reference. Card details are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
Messages: what you send through the contact form, your song page or by email.
Technical information: IP address, browser and device type in our server logs, and cookies (see our Cookie Policy).
Site analytics: Google Analytics measures visits and which pages and steps are used, for example starting the questionnaire or completing an order.
Song pages: anonymous counts of opens, plays and downloads. We don’t store the IP addresses of people who open a song page.

Information about the person the song is for. Songs are about other people, so you share some details about them. Please share only what you are comfortable with and what they would be comfortable hearing in a song. We use these details only to make, deliver and support the song.

How we use it

to write the lyrics, produce and check your song, and deliver it by email and on its song page;
to run your account, process payments and prevent fraud and abuse;
to send emails about your order – for example when lyrics are ready to review, reminders about an unfinished order, and delivery;
to send occasional emails about ThruMemory; every such email has an unsubscribe link;
to answer your questions and handle change, refund and privacy requests;
to understand and improve the site, including testing versions of pages using aggregated statistics;
to comply with the law and protect our rights.

AI processing

To write lyrics and produce music, the relevant parts of your answers are sent to the AI service providers we use. They process this information to provide their service to us. We don’t sell your story, and we don’t use it in our marketing without your permission.

Who we share it with

Service providers that help us run ThruMemory: payment processing (Stripe), AI writing and music tools, email delivery, website hosting and security, and site analytics (Google Analytics). They may use the information only to provide their services.
Reviews: after your song is delivered, we share your email address with Trustpilot so it can invite you to leave an independent review. Leaving a review is optional, and Trustpilot handles that invitation under its own privacy policy.
People you share your song with: anyone with the link to a song page can open it.
Legal reasons: when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and property of our customers, the public or us.
Business transfers: if our business is sold or merged, information may be transferred as part of that deal, under this policy.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

How long we keep it

Your account, answers and songs: while your account is active, so you can come back to your songs – or until you ask us to delete them.
Song pages: online for 12 months after delivery.
Purchase records: as long as tax and accounting laws require.
Messages and support requests: as long as needed to handle them and keep a record of what was agreed.
Server logs: for a limited period, for security and troubleshooting.

Security

The site uses HTTPS, song page links are long and hard to guess, and access to customer data is limited to the people who need it to make and support songs. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

Your choices and rights

Access, correction, deletion and a copy of your personal information – ask us any time.
Emails: unsubscribe from non-essential emails with the link in any of them. We still send emails needed for an order you placed.
Cookies and analytics: control cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s opt-out add-on for Google Analytics.

US state privacy rights. Depending on where you live – for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas or Oregon – you may have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to access, correct and delete it, to receive a copy, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information or targeted advertising. We don’t sell or share personal information, but we treat a Global Privacy Control signal as a valid opt-out request. We won’t discriminate against you for using your rights. California residents may use an authorized agent; we may ask the agent for proof of authorization. If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our answer, and we will explain the outcome.

Children

ThruMemory isn’t directed to children under 13, and you must be 18 or older to order. A song may be about a child; in that case the parent or adult who orders provides the details, and we use them only to make the song. If we learn that a child under 13 gave us personal information directly, we delete it.

Where information is processed

We are based in the United States. Some of our service providers may process information in other countries, under safeguards required by applicable law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date shows the latest version. If a change significantly affects how we use your information, we will tell you by email or on the site.
