What to tell us about your parents
You don’t need to answer everything – two or three real details are enough. These questions help you find them:
- How did they meet – the version they tell at family dinners?
- How many years are they celebrating?
- Which homes, moves or jobs shaped their life together?
- What do they call each other?
- What did they teach you without meaning to?
- Which family tradition comes from them?
- Who is sending the song: you, your siblings, the grandchildren?
- Is it for a party, a quiet dinner or a video call?
Example: a custom song for parents’ anniversary
An illustration of how a few details turn into lyrics – your song is written from your own story.
The details
- Linda and Tom, 40 years married
- Met at a roller rink in 1985
- Three kids, five grandchildren, the same porch swing
Lines they could become
Nineteen eighty-five, a roller rink in May,
Tom fell twice and Linda chose to stay.
Forty years on the same porch swing,
three kids grown and the grandkids sing:
thank you for the home that you two made,
Linda and Tom, the love that never fades.

How it works
Answer a short questionnaire about them – about five minutes. We write the lyrics, produce your song (two versions with Standard and Express) and a person checks it before delivery. See every step on How it works.
Questions about a song for your parents’ anniversary
Can several of us send it together?
Yes. Add everyone’s names as the sender and choose whether a short dedication is sung at the end.
Can it mention how many years they’ve been married?
Yes – add the year or the number of years and we can sing it.
Can the grandchildren be in the song?
Yes. Add their names in the details and choose whether they are mentioned in a verse or in the dedication at the end.
Can we play it at a vow renewal?
Yes. Choose a tender or uplifting style and tell us it is for a vow renewal – the song can lead into the moment they say their vows again.
Can the song mention hard times they got through?
Yes, gently. If there was a difficult year, a move or an illness they faced together, tell us as much as you are comfortable with – a song can turn it into a thank-you for how they held on. Anything you add to “avoid” stays out of the lyrics.
Can a son-in-law or daughter-in-law order it?
Yes. Choose who it is from and tell us about your place in the family – a thank-you from the newest member of the family is a moving surprise at an anniversary dinner.
